A gazillion ( there it is again) internet marketer's and 'Guru's' from all over the internet filled my Inbox with offers to share their knowledge, and it was all my fault!. After spending a fortune and many many hours studying course after course devouring everything these guys were saying I discovered the hard way that...

All I wanted to do was market my business services online! How hard could it be?

How I Got Sucked In!

Before we start, the thing is, and lets get real here if your looking to find a 100% automated money making machine, then good luck to you. I haven't found it yet, it may be out there somewhere but as of today I haven't found it. Be rest assured that If such a thing exists AND I find It, I will immediately inform all my subscribers here in my weekly newsletter. The Generals Letter. I Started With Everything You Need Right?:-

I was healthy had a fair education, a great family and I was committed, great start right?

I listened, I learned and I went to Work. I listened I learned & I went to work, I listened, I learned & I went to work. Have I said that enough yet? Despite all the listening, learning AND working I still wasn't Earning! And that's when it hit me!. Like a train!!!!

You see up until that point I had spent hundreds of hours (and £££££'s) doing my research. Surfing the internet looking for answers to the questions I thought necessary. Seeking out those who knew more than I did and buying into the latest and greatest 'Sytem' that generated them $153,432.83 in 7 days.

Hey maybe it's true and the fact is it's so specific it's beleivable. But now I know the truth!!!. Here I want to share with you the kind of headlines I have just found searching for 'make more money' using Google,

Hey what about getting more leads for your MLM/Network Business, ( I don't want to leave you guys out)

I was sucked in! Hook Line and Sinker! I just loved the whole concept and bought into all the Guru's courses, my wallet was taking the major brunt financially and my family and friends, who never saw me for days at a time, wondered What the hell I was trying to do!

Some even laughed, even Sharon my partner thought I had lost it! Gone bananas over some internet marketing thingy. The truth is I cant blame anyone for thinking I had gone mad, even I started to think I was a little crazy. Was I going bananas, were my friends right to laugh and doubt?

Hey they Laughed at Walt Disney, they laughed at H G Wells and his 'Machines of the Future" program. My own Grandfather told me how he and his friends watched the old Wells classics and pointed and laughed at the thought of flying machines shaping the wars of tomorrow! How wrong they turned out to be.

They Never Tell You Everything!

I should of known better, that's what happens when you get all excited and start to press the accelerator without standing back and looking at the big picture!. I got carried away into the wondrous world of netbullieve. (another real word)

Opt in to their box and then whammo! Bish Bash Bosh there's the paypal button or the shopping cart to the 'System' that's going to 'DO IT FOR YOU' , it's your answer to your 'problem' and it's just waiting for your credit card number.

Its easy to fall into the trap and I decided right then and there that I would always be different! All the knowledge I had accumulated I would pass on to those working alongside me. And I set up and founded TheMarketingGeneral as a way of helping others looking to find their Answers.

It's an on going process, the steady accumulation of knowledge and I have and continue to spend many thousands of pounds investing in programs courses and seminars to put that knowledge into the hands of those who are looking.

I currently have several streams of income including a preferred opportunity which enables me to spend most of my time coaching and sharing my knowledge with those that are looking. I love it.
